Any waste, if suitably treated, can produce secondary raw materials for new manufacturing processes and resources for farming or energy. Sogliano Ambiente provides solutions for any type of non-hazardous waste recovery or disposal, availing itself of facilities for waste management from the public or private sector. Depending on the specific requirements, it is also available to intervene directly, offering either consulting or brokerage services for all work which it is not called upon to perform directly.

The waste is managed differently according to its nature and composition.

In the case of a wet fraction from separate collection, it is sent to aerobic or anaerobic dry stabilisation plants where it undergoes two treatment phases in succession:

  • anaerobic fermentation: in the absence of oxygen the waste material is degraded to produce biogas, which is rich in methane, for electricity production;
  • aerobic composting: the processed substances produce high quality compost ready for farming use or, alternatively, suitable materials for daily landfill capping.

The dry fraction from urban and industrial waste from separate collection undergoes a sorting and enhancement phase, which means that it is manually or mechanically sorted into paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and metal materials. After this selection, the materials are mechanically pressed then reclaimed, reused and recycled. The screened processing material can be used as fuel from waste.

Moreover, Sogliano Ambiente provides additional services thanks to its special mobile installations with which it can operate directly in the waste production area for preliminary treatment on site, prior to sending it on for disposal and reclaiming.

Thanks to a mobile composite device, Sogliano Ambiente goes directly to the location where the waste is produced/collected in order to separate organic components from dry matter and reduce them. In this way less time is needed for recycling and disposal work, facilitating its specific treatment on the appropriate sites.

Considering a maximum treatment capacity of 60 ton/h and an expected running time of 2500 h/year, the maximum estimated potential for waste treatment is 125,000 t of urban and special non-hazardous waste.

Crushing rubble from construction and/or demolition work on site allows us to start recycling materials and the relevant transformation process into secondary raw materials for building, providing new resources for construction work.

Thanks to its mobile rubble crushing installation, Sogliano Ambiente separates inert components from glass, iron, plastics, wood, etc. In this way processing times are reduced, as are the risks associated with material handling.

Considering a maximum treatment capacity of 75 ton/h and an expected running time of 4000 h/year, the maximum estimated annual potential for treatment amounts to 300,000 t of urban and special non-hazardous waste.
